Evangelist Ben Haupt

Ben was saved at the age of 22. Shortly after his salvation, the Lord began to tug on his heart concerning the call to preach. He surrendered to this calling, and the Lord led him to Ambassador Baptist College to prepare. It was there that he met Jennifer. In May of 2004 they were married. After moving to Pennsylvania in May of 2005, Ben and Jennifer began to travel in evangelism.
Ben & Jennifer have four children: June, Jannelle, Ben & Joy Anna.
  • General: This family retreat is a time for families to get away and relax. This family retreat is much different from the two family camps in July. This camp will provide much more free time for families. Thursday evening will include a snack and a rally. Friday will include two preaching/teaching sessions, three meals, a snack and one group game. Saturday will include two preaching/teaching sessions, a brunch, early afternoon meal, and one group game. The lake, hiking trails, and game tables will be available throughout the weekend. Some of the other events (bungee run, obstacle course, blamzookas, target range) will be open at select times.

  • Utilities: As of this writing, we still have not been approved to bring water, sewer, or electricity onto the property. It is likely that we will be using generators and porta-potties again this summer

  • Showers: Making the likely assumption that we do not have our utilities installed, we plan to set up shower tents very similar to what we used this past summer. Each shower tent has three private stall with hot and cold water. In addition, each shower tent has a sink for washing hand, brushing teeth, etc. Click HERE to see pictures of the shower tents.

  • Buildings: At this point, we still do not have an Lodge on the property. We use a large "circus" tent for the dining room and the equipment shed for the meeting room. Click HERE to see pictures of the kitchen, dining room, cabins, and meeting room.

  • Fishing:If you over the age of 16 your will need a valid PA fishing license to fish in the lake. All fishing is catch and release.

  • Biking: The SHCM property is bordered by a nine mile Rails to Trails. You are welcome to bring your own bikes and use the Rails to Trails.
