| Many years ago, unknown to each of the parties involved, God started to uniquely prepare a group of individuals to come together and establish Servant's Heart Camp Ministry. The corporation was established near the end of 2001, and the first camping season was underway for the summer of 2002. The first summer was, perhaps, a sort of a “fleece” to determine if God truly wanted us to continue this camp ministry. After the last day of camp the staff sat down and evaluated the previous weeks of camp. We sat in humble awe as we reflected upon what God had done through the camp. There was no question in anyone's mind that we should move forward with this ministry. A board of directors was officially established to give solid leadership to this ministry. At this point, we are renting a camp facility from another camping ministry. The lack of a property to call “home” limits our ability to expand our program as much as we would desire. We believe, however, that in God's perfect timing, He will provide the finances and the exact property that He would want us to have. The lack of permanent property has not thwarted the power of God, and we are thrilled with what God has already accomplished though this ministry. |
